Arquata gives you the possibility to practice many different sports in the great outdoors: from hiking, climbing, mountain biking to horse-riding. During wintertime this place can be considered a paradise for skiers, thanks to the resort of Forca Canapine, just in between Marche and Umbria (a few Km from Arquata del Tronto). In the area of Forca di Presta and Piani di Castelluccio you can try kite flying, paragliding, free flight, orienteering, shooting and archery: the special situation of the area Forca di Presta – Castelluccio di Norcia (after the Piano del Fucino, the biggest mountain plain of Italy: 18 Kmq) makes this place perfect for such sports.
