The ‘Rifugio degli Alpini’ (Soldiers refuge) is located in the Municipality of Arquata del Tronto (AP), between the Sibillini Mountains and the Laga Mountains, exactly under the Mount Vettore. It is an ideal place to start excursions to the Mount Vettore, Pilate’s Lake, Creste del Redentore and Passo del Galluccio. From here you can experience fantastic sights throughout the tableland of Castelluccio di Norcia, famous for typical lentils and colours of its flowering in June.

- The Rifugio offers you 43 bed places in 4 rooms.

- It has restaurant, bar and large terrace solarium.

- The manager Mr. Gino Quattrociocchi and his family want to offer you a holiday of health, tranquillity, good food and friendship.

The Rifugio is the ideal place to spend Summer and Winter holidays and can offer you the possibility of walking, excursions, climbing, mountain biking, rafting, skiing, ice and snow walking.

The Rifugio is on the itinerary of “The Big Ring of the Sibillini”: there is also the possibility to make easy excursions only 50 meters away (also for disabled people) concluding on a platform with a magnificent view of Laga Mountains and ancient Salaria street.

There is also the possibility of interesting activities organised by the alpine guides, speleological guides and rangers working in the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains and the National Park of the Laga Mountains.

In June there is the chance to participate to the “GIRO da RIFUGIO a RIFUGIO” (“Nino Allevi’s Trophy”): a running race through the Sibillini Mountains that will bring you between the forests and meadows of this fantastic land...
