Altitude: 602 m.l.m. Trisungo is a village developed along the Tronto’s river, in the beautiful frame of its Roman bridge. The remains of the Salaria Street, built by the Ancient Romans, are particularly interesting. The ancient Cippus found in 1831 in the Tronto’s river, for example, is a real testament of the street that crossed Italy when the capital of the world was just 99 miles away from Arquata del Tronto... We can read on it:
IMP. CAESAR DIVI F.
AUGUSTUS.COS . XI TRIBV POTEST. VIII EX.S.C. XCVIIII
In Trisungo we can also find a magnificent house dated 1515 with many dressings. In the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie we can find frescos of the XVI century.
