Pretare, located under the Mount Vettore, has in its parochial Church, a Crucifix of the XVII century.

In the Santa Maria a Vetere's Church, close to the churchyard, there is a fresco made by Fabio Angelucci da Mevale.

Very interesting is the ancient furnace, close to the village, under the Mount Vettore.

Pretare is well known as “Fairyland”: a legend tells us the story of the Sybille and her fairies.
