This lovely village can be considered the Sports Centre of the Arquatan community withborgo.jpg its gymnasium, its roller-field and the stadium of the local team, the FC Arquata Football Club.

In Borgo we find San Francesco’s Church with two naves, the beautiful lacunar ceiling and the altar.

Very interesting is the fresco reproducing S. Carlo Borromeo (by Maratti) and the statue of S. Antonio from Padova, made by the Marche’s school.

Here we can also find the Holy Shroud of Arquata, identical to the one in Turin, but with three worsanfrancesco3.jpgds impressed in it: “extractum ab originale”.

Also intriguing are the ancient cloisters of the Franciscan monks. (Adjoining the Church and other Churches of the village such as the St. Peter and Paul’s Church) for their beautiful frescos.
